The following information comes from the Meckenheim Church Book.
Johannes Bruch, was a teacher (Schuldiener) in the school in Meckenheim. He had at least two children before church records begin in the parish. He was married to Anna, surname unknown, and had the following known children:
- Johannes: b. about 1670; m. Adelgunda (Engel) Seibert, 6 Dec 1697; bur. 22 Aug 1714, age 44
- Anna Elisabetha: b. about 1674; m. Johann Adam Seibert, 27 Apr 1695
- Maria Catharina: bap. 6 May 1683 (sponsors were the Pfarrer and his wife Anna Catharina; Anna Maria, wife of Stephan Willemanns)
Second Generation
Johannes Bruch (Johannes) became a court administrator. He and his wife Adelgunda (who went by Engell) had one known child:
- Anna Christina: bap. 20 or 21 Jul 1702 (sponsors were Anna Bruchin; Christian [sic] Seibertin [Christina Seibert?]); m. Philip Leonhard Meyer, son of the late Michel, 6 May 1716 [sic – she was 14]
